Robert A. Baird, M.D. is a Board-Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in Adult Orthopaedic and Joint Surgery.
He received his Medical Degree at the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center and accomplished his Surgical Internship, General Surgical Residency and Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at the University of California, San Diego.
Dr. Baird’s career appointments include: Chief, Orthopaedic Surgery, Long Beach Veterans Administration Medical Center; Acting Chairman, Orthopaedic Surgery, UC Irvine; Chairman, Orthopaedic Surgery, Irvine Regional Hospital and Medical Center; Associate Adjunct Professor, UC Irvine; Chief of Staff, Irvine Regional Hospital and Medical Center; and Reviewer, Medical Board of California. He also serves as a Member of the Board of Directors of the Orange County Museum of Art.
In 2005 he received the “Physician of Excellence” honor from the A.O.A. Medical Honor Society, Orange County Medical Association.
He is a Member of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, and affiliated with the Orthopaedic Research Society, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Orange County Medical Association, California Medical Association, Western Orthopaedic Association, American Spinal Injury Association and the Association of Orthopaedic Chairmen.
